About the event
Returning to the Language of Play in the Natural World. Explore how the natural environment invites play, imagination, creativity, symbolism, and connection. Apply play therapy principles outdoors with children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups; nature becomes an expanded playroom for exploring emotions, relationships, identity, resilience, and healing.
Topics include nature as a therapeutic play space, symbolism and metaphor through natural materials, developmentally responsive interventions, expressive activities, attachment and connection, and adaptations for neurodivergent clients.
