Happy Camper Institute

Training, supervision, and consultation grounded in connection, creativity, and whole-person clinical practice.

The approach

A reflective path for clinicians

My approach to clinical training and supervision is grounded in attachment theory and informed by play therapy, sandtray therapy, EMDR, and nature-assisted therapy. I view supervision as a collaborative, supportive, and reflective process that integrates clinical skill development, ethical practice, case conceptualization, and the clinician’s ongoing professional growth.

As an LPC-S, RPT-S, EMDRIA-approved consultant, Certified Forest Therapist, APT-approved training provider, and EMDRIA-approved training provider, I offer workshops, consultation, and learning experiences for clinicians pursuing Registered Play Therapist (RPT) or EMDR certification. I provide supervision for graduate students and LPC-Associates, as well as supervision and consultation for clinicians working toward RPT credentials and EMDRIA consultation requirements.

I specialize in supporting clinicians who work with complex and layered trauma, including childhood neglect and abuse, dissociation, spiritual trauma, and medical trauma. Supervision emphasizes attachment-focused, trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate care, with particular attention to safety, stabilization, attunement, and the therapeutic relationship.

Nature-assisted therapy is an important part of my clinical and supervisory work. As a Certified Forest Therapist, I value the restorative, grounding, and relational qualities of the natural world. Nature can offer a meaningful setting for reflection, regulation, creativity, and professional growth. Depending on the clinician’s needs and the nature of the work, supervision may take place online, in the office, or on the trail.

I am a good fit for creative thinkers who are eager to learn, grow, and develop innovative, cutting-edge approaches to clinical practice. Through supervision and consultation, I support clinicians in expanding their use of therapeutic play, sandtray therapy, EMDR, nature-assisted interventions, and other experiential methods while developing confidence, flexibility, and sound clinical judgment. My goal is to help clinicians become compassionate, ethical, and skillful practitioners equipped to serve clients with complex needs.
