About the event
The pelvic floor does more than you think: bladder control, core strength, even emotional memory. Join us for a free, judgment-free session on the muscles nobody talks about, but everyone should.
This free, comfortable, and educational community session explores the hidden muscles that support daily life. The pelvic floor plays a massive role in bladder and bowel control, core strength, and overall comfort with age-appropriate activities, yet it is rarely talked about. We will also discuss the connection that the pelvic floor has with emotional memories and overall mental health.
In this brief session, a pelvic floor physical therapist will break down the basics of what the pelvic floor is and how it works, the brain/body connection, signs that muscles may be too weak or too tight, the connection between the core and core memories, and an introduction to pelvic floor PT and safe exercises for everyone to start.
This is a purely educational talk. There are no hands-on or personal exams—just helpful information, practical tips, and a safe space to get your questions answered. We will discuss a brief medical outlook on bowel, bladder, and sexual function with a focus on anatomy and the mental health connection.
