Elizabeth’s story

With nearly two decades of experience helping children and families, Elizabeth launched Happy Camper Child and Family Therapy in response to the changing demands of a post-COVID society. After seeing firsthand the impact of the 2020 lockdown, she committed to a new strategy for safe, consistent care for children and families.

Elizabeth holds advanced credentials in Play Therapy and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). She is a TBRI Educator (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) with specialized training in family relationships and attachment styles.

A mother to eight children through birth and adoption, she loves hiking, camping, and kayaking with her family. Personally experiencing the benefits of a camping retreat, she has a vision to deepen the therapeutic experience through a unique camping environment.
