Yours and theirs
When parents understand their own nervous system, it is easier to coach children through meltdowns and opposition.
For real-life routines
Scripts, routines, and repair conversations you can use at bedtime, school mornings, and hard transitions.

Parenting support
Parenting support at Happy Camper is for caregivers of children we serve—or families considering care. Sessions may be telehealth or in-person and focus on your goals: fewer power struggles, stronger attachment, and confidence in discipline that preserves dignity. We are not here to judge; we are here to equip.

Topics we cover
Meltdowns and dysregulation, oppositional behavior, trauma-informed parenting, co-parenting alignment, parenting children with ADHD or neurodivergence, and healing your own attachment history so it does not replay with your kids. We coordinate with your child’s therapist when you are already in care with us.

What parents gain
Parents often report feeling less reactive, more prepared, and more connected to their children—even when behavior is still challenging. You will leave with language to use in the moment and a plan for what to practice between sessions.

How parenting support works
Parenting support typically includes:
Parent coaching can stand alone or complement child and family sessions.
Who this is for

Parenting support pairs naturally with play therapy and our concierge mobile program.

What to expect
We begin with your story and goals—no need to have it all figured out. Sessions are confidential and practical. If your child is in care with us, we align with their treatment plan; if not, we can still support you while you explore next steps.

Common questions
Yes—parent and caregiver involvement is an essential part of our approach.
We also provide parent coaching via telehealth to deepen your toolbox and support progress at home.
Yes. We offer HIPAA-compliant telehealth for parent coaching, therapy for older children and teens (when clinically appropriate), and individual adult clients.
Online sessions use our secure client portal and the Telo online playroom for developmentally appropriate child and family work.
Telehealth is available in Texas, Idaho, and Michigan.
We support children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a wide range of concerns. If you are unsure whether we are the right fit, reach out—we are happy to help you think it through.
Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate counseling approach that helps children process big emotions, navigate relationships, and build coping skills using their natural language—play.
Rather than relying only on words, children use toys, games, stories, and art to express themselves. At Happy Camper, we use evidence-based play therapy techniques to support emotional regulation, behavior change, social-emotional learning, and trauma recovery.
All sessions are 45–50 minutes, including mobile play therapy, parent coaching (telehealth), in-home family therapy, and individual counseling for teens and adults.
Yes, we offer limited after-school and weekend appointments, though they fill quickly.
We also encourage families to consider daytime sessions—schools often allow excused absences for therapy, and children often return to class with improved focus, regulation, and academic engagement.
Session fees typically range from $65–$300 per session, depending on the type of service, setting (in-home, mobile office, nature-based, or telehealth), and your therapist’s credentials.
We are happy to discuss rates for concierge packages, group therapy, and specialized formats during your discovery call.
